Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from AVMA accredited school.
• Active state veterinary license or ability to obtain by start date.
• Current DEA license.
• Current Controlled Substance License if applicable.
• USDA Category I accreditation or within two months of hire date.
• Comfort performing anesthesia and routine surgeries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor.
• Telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care via exams, diagnoses, and preventive care.
• Document observations, findings, and treatments in medical records.
• Perform routine and complex surgeries (spays, neuters, masses).
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate with referral hospitals.
• Participate in rounds and share knowledge with staff.
