Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Setauket Animal Hospital in East Setauket, NY is seeking a passionate DVM to join a collaborative veterinary team. You’ll practice preventive care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and emergency support, with three- or four-day workweeks and reduced Saturday rotations.

Compensation includes full-time 40‑hour structure: $130,000–$150,000 USD, production bonus, sign-on up to $75K, and relocation stipend.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college/university.
• Current NY State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of veterinary practice experience.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills; excellent surgical/dental skills.
• Team-oriented with superb communication and client service.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties and controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Work with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Participate in rounds and practice management updates.
