PetVet Care Centers in Groton, CT is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM or VMD) to join Companion Animal Hospital. You’ll work with a skilled team in a AAHA-accredited, small animal practice focused on exotic pets, in a role with strong clinical autonomy and a local hospital culture backed by a national network.

This full-time position offers a compensation structure of $120,000-$180,000+ USD with production bonus, plus signing, retention, and relocation packages up to $125,000.

Qualifications

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
• Excellent communication with Medical staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties and controlled substances protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Work with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols daily.
• Attend rounds and participate in practice management updates.
