Job summary

CityVet externships provide hands-on clinical experience in small animal general practice settings, with optional urgent care exposure. Eligible are 3rd and 4th-year DVM students at AVMA-accredited schools, for two-week blocks, with a competitive stipend paid on the first Friday.

Housing not provided, but accommodation recommendations are shared by CityVet. Participants will perform medicine and surgery with mentorship from practicing veterinarians, collaborating with technicians and support

Qualifications

• Eligibility: 3rd or 4th-year DVM students at AVMA-accredited schools (vet student level)
• Duration: Two-week externship blocks, flexible for university rotations
• Stipend: Competitive stipend, paid on the first Friday of the rotation
• Locations: CityVet clinics across multiple states
• Housing: Housing not provided; guidance available from prior externs
• International students: Eligible if enrolled and authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available
