As an open admission organization, HAWS supports more than 11,000 animals and welcomes more than 35,000 human visitors to our shelter annually. HAWS accepts animals regardless of age, health, temperament or breed. HAWS offers programs and services that promote responsible pet ownership, preventing animal abuse and neglect in our community and beyond. The clinic at HAWS embraces a community engaged model of care supporting pets in residence at the shelter and actively providing accessible wellness services to pets living in homes in the community.
