The Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, Wisconsin (HAWS) is excited to add a dedicated Part Time Veterinarian to join our Spay/Neuter Clinic. This opportunity has the potential to grow into a full-time role.

As an open admission organization, HAWS supports more than 11,000 animals and welcomes more than 35,000 human visitors to our shelter annually. HAWS accepts animals regardless of age, health, temperament or breed. HAWS offers programs and services that promote responsible pet ownership, preventing animal abuse and neglect in our community and beyond. The clinic at HAWS embraces a community engaged model of care supporting pets in residence at the shelter and actively providing accessible wellness services to pets living in homes in the community. Our goal is to support pets and their people to stay together by providing accessible care to stop unnecessary shelter admissions.

Our clinic is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate, community driven veterinarian to join us! This is a unique opportunity to blend public-facing wellness care with high-impact shelter medicine all in a supportive, fast-paced, and genuinely fun environment.

As part of our team, you’ll work hands on both beloved pets and shelter animals, making a real difference every single day. From routine wellness visits to high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries, your skills will directly support pets and the people who love them.
