Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM/VMD) from an accredited university.
• Active DEA license.
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the relevant state.
• USDA accreditation preferable.

Responsibilities

• Practice in accordance with evidence-based medicine and professional standards of care.
• Assist in creation and implementation of continued enhancement of veterinary best practice guidelines.
• Foster a culture of preventive healthcare through education, client partnerships, and wellness plans.
• Educate paraprofessional team and clients while advocating for pet health and strengthening the human-pet bond.
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative veterinary and resort support team by communicating medical standards, ethical practices, and veterinary knowledge.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary (DVM/VMD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Current DEA License
• Veterinary State License
• At least three years of previous experience as a DVM; ability to run and grow a solo practice
• USDA Accreditation preferable
