Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Veterinarian Medical Director to provide high-quality small-animal care while leading clinical teams in an inpatient setting. This role combines hands-on medicine with mentorship and strategic direction for the practice.

You will establish medical standards, supervise veterinarians and staff, support growth initiatives, evaluate new equipment and services, and promote teamwork and continuous improvement to advance veterinary care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
• 5+ years of veterinary experience.
• Experience in an inpatient setting.
• Active Maryland veterinary license or eligibility.
• Active DEA license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality small-animal veterinary care
• Establish and improve medical standards, protocols, and procedures
• Mentor and support veterinarians, technicians, and support staff
