Practice:

Rockford Veterinary Clinic is a full-service veterinary medical facility located in Rockford, MN. We provide a wide range of services from wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics and complex surgical procedures, ensuring high-quality care for small animal companions in Rockford and surrounding communities.

Position Purpose:

We are seeking to add another DVM to our team! Our multi-doctor practice has been serving the Rockford community since the early 2000s.

Most of our DVMs have decades of experience, with main interests in surgery and internal medicine. We offer services ranging from basic wellness care to orthopedic surgery.

We welcome DVMs of all experience levels, as our current team can provide valuable mentorship to new graduates. For experienced veterinarians, our team is supportive, collaborative, and committed to practicing their best medicine.

Our doctors are supported by an experienced support staff of 3 CVTs, 2 assistants, 2 customer service representatives, and a practice manager. Our team assists with surgical procedures, sample collection, appointments, diagnostic imaging, hospital cleanliness, and more.

We emphasize work-life balance, offering flexible schedules with no weekend or on-call responsibilities. A typical full-time schedule is four days a week, starting at 8:40 AM and ending between 5 and 6 PM, with a 12 PM – 2 PM lunch break.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and diagnose diseases or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Provide counseling on pet end-of-life care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD registration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assistance required for heavier loads.
