Job summary

North Alabama Veterinary ER + Specialty in Madison, AL seeks a full-time General Practice Veterinarian to join a modern, collaborative team. The role blends GP medicine with urgent care in a state-of-the-art 10,000 sq ft facility built in 2023, treating dogs, cats and exotics.

You’ll work a 4-day schedule with alternating weekends, in a hospital featuring ICU, dedicated surgery, ultrasound, digital radiography, and IDEXX in-house lab.

Qualifications

• DVM license in good standing and willingness to practice GP + urgent care.
• Experience with dogs, cats, and exotics desired.
• Available for a 4-day work week with alternating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care in a GP and urgent care setting.
• Collaborate with a specialty/emergency team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Manage patient care from intake to discharge, including diagnostics and treatment planning.

North Alabama Veterinary ER + Specialty is looking for a full-time General Practice Veterinarian to join our growing team in Madison, Alabama! This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine while having access to the equipment, resources, and support typically found in a specialty and emergency setting.

We see dogs, cats, and exotics and offer a mix of general practice and urgent care services, giving you the opportunity to build a diverse and rewarding caseload.

Your Schedule

• Full-time, 4-day work week

Our 10,000-square-foot facility was built in 2023 and is designed to support advanced medicine and excellent patient care. The hospital features:

• ICU with oxygen and temperature control
• Dedicated surgery suite
• State-of-the-art patient monitoring equipment

• Digital radiography/Digital dental radiography
• Ultrasound
• IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment
• Dedicated space and resources for urgent care
