Job description

Full-Time Veterinarian | Family Pet Clinic | Grapevine, Texas

At Family Pet Clinic, we know how much you give to your patients and their families. Veterinary medicine can be incredibly rewarding—and it can also be challenging. We believe veterinarians deserve a workplace that supports their professional growth, values their expertise, and recognizes the importance of life outside the clinic. Whether you’re a recent graduate looking for strong mentorship and support as you begin your career, or an experienced veterinarian looking for a collaborative practice where you can pursue your interests, Family Pet Clinic offers an opportunity to build a rewarding career.

About Family Pet Clinic

Family Pet Clinic is a well-established small-animal practice in Grapevine, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established practice and become an important part of its continued growth. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Make thoughtful medical decisions based on the individual patient and client.
  • Build lasting relationships with your own clients and patients.
  • Develop your own approach to patient care.
  • Play a meaningful role in helping shape the future of the practice.

We offer a flexible schedule and no weekends, providing the opportunity to build a sustainable veterinary career while maintaining time outside of work.

Mentorship & Support for New Graduates

Starting your veterinary career is exciting—and you don’t have to do it alone.

New graduates joining Family Pet Clinic will participate in the NVA Mentorship Program, designed to provide additional guidance, connection, and support as you transition from veterinary school into practice.

The program includes:

  • One-on-one surgical and medical support from Dr. Jodi Long, current President of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and a Texas mentor.
  • Wellness programming focused on stress management and developing a balanced, sustainable veterinary career.
  • A cohort of other new-graduate veterinarians across Texas, with opportunities for social events, team bonding, and professional connection.
  • Leadership development and continuing education stipend support.
  • Ongoing opportunities to ask questions, develop confidence, and grow your clinical skills.
Build Your Future

Because Family Pet Clinic is currently a one-doctor practice, with its veterinarian nearing her 10-year anniversary with the clinic, this position offers the opportunity to join a well-established practice with a strong foundation of client relationships, community trust, and continuity of care. The longstanding tenure of the current DVM reflects the stability and commitment at the heart of the practice, while also creating an exciting opportunity for a new veterinarian to contribute their own strengths, develop lasting relationships with clients and patients, and play a meaningful role in the clinic’s continued growth and development.

What We Offer
  • Competitive production-based compensation with performance bonus opportunities
  • Signing and relocation bonuses and relocation assistance
  • Flexible schedule with no overnights or holidays and no weekends
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits
  • 401(k), HSA, and FSA
  • Paid time off
  • Employee assistance and employee discount programs
  • Professional development and continuing education support
