Job summary

UrgentVet - Elgin, IL is seeking a Veterinarian to join our urgent care team. We provide after-hours care for canine and feline patients with cloud-based EMR, digital X-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs.

You will work on single-doctor shifts, handle common urgent cases like wounds, infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia, with a focus on efficient, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or ECFVG/PAVE).
• Active license to practice in the state of Illinois (or eligible to obtain).

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate with clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Chicago community
• Encourage the growth of support staff through internal LevelUp training program
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours

Description

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the
Elgin, Illinois area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
