Job summary

Plattsburgh Animal Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY is seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at Rarebreed Veterinary Partners. The role offers a base salary of $125,000–$140,000 (based on experience) plus production and a potential sign-on/relocation bonus up to $75,000.

We provide a modern 7,000 sq ft facility with in-house IDEXX, after-hours emergency services, digital imaging, CT and ultrasound.

Qualifications

• DVM required; eligible for NY license.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Small animal practice experience preferred.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries in pets (dogs/cats) and treat surgically or medically.
• Collaborate with colleagues and referring veterinarians.
• Engage in continuing education to stay at the top of your field.
• Advise owners on sanitary measures, nutrition, and general care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
• Advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding, and general care to promote the health of animals
