VCA North Main Street Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to oversee clinic operations and lead a team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants. The role emphasizes patient care, staff development, and protocol implementation.

You will collaborate with veterinarians and hospital managers to maintain high standards of care, efficiency, and staff engagement across shifts, while participating in the interview and onboarding process for new hires.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician credentials (CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT).
• Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting.
• proven leadership experience in a team environment.
• Strong passion for veterinary medicine and patient care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the flow of work on the clinical floor.
• Foster an engaging work environment and strong hospital culture.
• Collaborate with hospital management and supervisors for hospital progression.
• Assist with interview process and onboarding of new associates.

Compensation

$27 - $34 / hr based on experience, and skill set.

About the Role

As Veterinary Technician Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing work flow on the floor
• Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture
• Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
• Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates
• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
• Conduct staff meetings
• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
• Mentoring technicians within the department
• Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner
• Refining and implementing protocols
• Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

Having mastered the entire range of vet tech skills yourself, you are a role model for the team. You will work alongside our Veterinarians, Hospital Manager, and Assistant Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT (FL CVT Preferred)
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Team leadership experience
• Passion for Veterinary Medicine
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
