Job summary

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation seeks a Veterans Village Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day operation, safety, and upkeep of Veterans Village properties, ensuring a safe, dignified living environment for veterans.

You will supervise preventive maintenance, coordinate with vendors and contractors, maintain records, and respond to emergencies while supporting housing standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED and 4-5 years in multiunit housing or facilities management.
• Trade school or technical training preferred.
• OSHA 10/30, EPA Universal, HVAC, and other safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of buildings, common areas, and mechanical spaces.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of facility systems.
• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, security, and life safety systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for work at villages.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, warranties, and inspection reports.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, building codes, HUD/NSPIRE/REAC standards.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure safe, orderly work environments.
• Assist with capital improvements, renovations, and project scheduling.
• Maintain property curb appeal, landscaping, and exterior upkeep.
