Job summary

Sacramento State invites applications for the Assistant Program Coordinator Trainee position in the Veterans Success Student Resource Center. The APCT works under the Program Coordinator and Director and develops skills to operate at SSP IB level during a trainee period of up to 12 months.

The role mentors students, supports interns and staff, and helps design programs to promote academic success, leadership, and campus inclusion. Evening/weekend flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic principles of individual and group behavior.
• Experience not required; degree in behavioral sciences, public/business administration, or related field preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain cooperative relationships with students, staff and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Coordinator in delivering integrated support services and programming.
• Mentor and advise students; collaborate with interns and student staff on programs.
