Job summary
King County’s Veterans Program (KCVP) seeks a Social Services Professional to provide comprehensive case management for eligible veterans, service members and families. Roles may be filled as Career Service or Term-Limited Temporary positions at Tukwila or Northgate/Seattle, depending on needs.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and 2+ years of experience coordinating complex services for veterans, with strong documentation and housing/employment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
- 2+ years of social work/case management experience; qualifying work experience may substitute education.
- Experience coordinating cross-sector services for veterans.
- Ability to complete extensive eligibility documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide case management for veterans, service members and families.
- Determine client eligibility for veteran programs under regulations.
- Complete eligibility documentation and assessments.
- Develop housing and employment plans with community partners.
- Advise and coordinate services with community resources.
- Maintain relationships with veteran social services organizations.
