Job summary

Swords to Plowshares in San Francisco is seeking a Property Manager for its permanent supportive housing serving veterans. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safety, compliance with funding requirements, and maintain a trauma-informed, housing-first environment.

You will balance lease enforcement, building safety, and resident services, reporting to the Assistant Director of Property Management, and collaborating with maintenance and supportive services staff to support housing

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of residential property management experience.
• Ability to interact with government agencies, service providers, and community partners.
• Fluency in English; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily building operations to ensure safe, clean, and habitable conditions.
• Monitor property for safety hazards, maintenance issues, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements, contracts, and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain accurate resident files and process applications, move-ins, and move-outs.
• Complete annual and interim recertifications and conduct unit inspections.
• Prepare reports on vacancy, rent collection, and evictions.
