Job summary

Clay Consulting is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant in Cincinnati, OH to support VA claim exams with both clinical and administrative tasks. You will interview patients, prepare charts, document vital signs, and assist with exams in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Hours are 7:45am - 4:00pm EST. Ideal candidates have phlebotomy skills, EKG/PFT experience, and strong office software proficiency, including Office 365 and PracticeSuite.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy proficiency required.
• Previous MA or healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Completion of accredited MA program or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical histories and record data accurately.
• Prepare charts and conduct IMO research prior to appointments.
• Update and maintain medical records and billing reports following privacy rules.
• Prepare exam rooms and sanitize instruments for a safe environment.
• Escort claimants to examination rooms and assist during visits.
• Send diagnostics to facilities and ensure timely processing.
• Obtain and record vital signs using appropriate equipment.
• Collaborate with Supervisor to maintain clinic schedule and smooth operations.
• Perform blood draws for diagnostic purposes and conduct EKG, PFT, ABI as directed.
• Assist with prescreening, check-in/check-out, and PracticeSuite system usage.
