Job summary

This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in phlebotomy, EKGs, and PFTs, and comfort with PracticeSuite for scheduling. You’ll work closely with providers to ensure timely patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy proficiency is mandatory.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain comprehensive medical histories.
• Prepare clinical charts and conduct Medical Opinion (IMO) research prior to the claimant's appointment.
• Update and maintain medical records and billing reports.
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms and instruments for claimants and providers.
• Escort and guide claimants to examination rooms and assist during visits.
• Send diagnostics to facilities and ensure timely processing of results.
• Record vital signs using medical equipment.
• Assist in inventory management and supply ordering.
• Collaborate with the Supervisor to ensure smooth operations and scheduling.
