Job summary

Augusta VA Health Care System in Augusta, Georgia, is seeking Interventional and Non-Invasive Cardiologists to join our dedicated team. You will provide cardiology consultations for VA Augusta and affiliated clinics, interpret EKGs, stress tests and echocardiograms, and supervise echo procedures as appropriate.

You will also educate cardiology fellows and residents, oversee device interrogations when trained, and participate in inpatient consults and on-call coverage, all within a federal

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiology consultations (telephone, E-Consult) for VA Augusta and associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs)
• Interpret a range of noninvasive diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, ambulatory rhythm monitoring, stress tests, and echocardiograms
• Supervise administration of echo contrast during echocardiograms as needed
• Supervise and educate cardiology fellows and medical residents
• Interrogate cardiac devices if appropriately trained
• Participate in inpatient consult services and on-call rotation
