Job summary

Phoenix VA Health Care System seeks a full-time non-invasive Cardiology Physician to provide comprehensive cardiology services for Veteran patients. Preference for experience in advanced heart failure therapies; site participates in University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix cardiology fellowship and internal medicine residency.

Physician will interpret echocardiography, cardiac imaging, and stress testing, with a schedule aligned to the VA mission and patient needs.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved medical school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US
• Residency in an approved core cardiology program
• ACGME/AOA approved residency or fellowship completed
• Board certification in Cardiology preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage veterans' cardiovascular care
• Perform and interpret echocardiography including TEE and stress studies
• Interpret stress tests and myocardial perfusion imaging
• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations
• Participate in education and research initiatives as applicable

Skills

English proficiency

Advanced heart failure experience

Echocardiography interpretation

Cardiac CT/CMR imaging

Nuclear cardiology imaging

Interventional imaging familiarity

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or DO

Current full unrestricted medical license in the US

Residency training in core cardiology specialty

ACGME/AOA approved residency or fellowship

Board certification in Cardiology (preferred)
