Job summary

State of Florida seeks a Government Operations Consultant II to serve as a Local Veterans’ Employment Representative in West Palm Beach, FL. You will lead outreach to employers, educate partner staff, and coordinate veteran employment initiatives within the CareerSource network.

You will also conduct workshops, promote credentialing opportunities, and mentor junior staff, supporting veterans and their spouses with employment and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable regulations, Veteran Program Letters and local guidance.
• Understanding of veterans’ preference in employment and re-employment rights.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead veteran employment outreach and educate partner staff on JVSG programs.
• Coordinate with employers and CareerSource teams to expand job opportunities.
• Conduct job search workshops and participate in career fairs.
• Provide training on JVSG compliance to staff and partners.
• Develop and implement program management procedures for veterans services.
• Mentor new LVER staff and VA Work Study interns.
