Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in West Des Moines, IA. This full-time role involves reviewing veterans' medical history and performing exams to support VA disability determinations.

The position requires an active NP license, BLS certification, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. On-site role with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license for duration of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff must be fully vaccinated per CDC/state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and provide one-time, non-treatment VA exams.
• Capture responses during exams via web-based forms; documentation sent to VA.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and conducted on location.
