Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Commission seeks an enthusiastic dietary team lead to oversee a small unit responsible for meal preparation and service for Veterans in Warrensburg, MO. You will ensure timely service, maintain sanitary dining areas, and support a compassionate team focused on quality meals.

Responsibilities include coordinating staff, supervising meal service and last minute prep, and participating in cleaning, tray assembly, and safe handling of food in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience in dietary field and/or leading a dietary team (preferred).
• Experience in a long-term care facility is desirable.
• Must meet health requirements per state/local law during period of communicability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a small team in the dietary unit.
• Supervise serving meals, last minute prep and cooking, and tray assembly.
• Assist in cleaning and sanitizing preparation, kitchen, dining areas.
• Lift, carry, and transfer heavy food products and waste.
