Job summary

OK.gov Lawton/Ft. Sill Veterans Center seeks a Veterans Center Administrator I to oversee daily operations of the center, supervise staff, and manage budgets in a state health care facility.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or related field and two years of managerial experience in health care or veterans services; on-call twenty-four hour duty is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, public health or hospital administration.
• Two years of professional managerial/administrative experience in a health or nursing care facility or veterans services, or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Directs operation of a state veterans center providing long-term health care and medical services.
• Plans and directs patient care programs, staff, budget, and compliance with regulations.
• Serves as guardian fiduciary for incompetent patients and manages funds as needed.
• Coordinates with state and federal agencies; reviews contracts and purchases.
• Responds to inquiries and emergencies; available for twenty-four hour on-call duties.
• Oversees program goals, staff development, and quality of care at the center.
