Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Veterans Center Administrator I to oversee operations of a state veterans center, including long-term health care, budgeting, and staff supervision. This is a full-time, regular on-call position requiring licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator.

The role involves directing patient care programs, coordinating with state and federal agencies, and ensuring compliance with regulations while maintaining quality service for eligible veterans.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience requirements: a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, public health or hospital administration or closely related field and two years of professional level experience in a managerial or administrative capacity in a health or nursing care facility or over a veterans/military services program.
• Certification as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator may substitute for one year of required education.

Responsibilities

• Directs operation of a state veterans center and the long-term health care facility.
• Plans and directs patient care programs, budget work programs and staffing needs.
• Coordinates program requirements with state and federal agencies; negotiates contracts and purchases.
