Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking a Veterans QMHP Case Manager (1456) in Amarillo, TX to deliver trauma-informed care, coordination, and case management for adults 18+ in the Amarillo service area. The role emphasizes completing assessments, developing treatment plans, and connecting Veterans with VA benefits and community resources.

Qualified candidates hold a relevant Bachelor's degree, VA benefits knowledge is a plus, and a current Texas driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, or related Human Services field required for QMHP credentialing.
• Current or previous enlistment in the U.S. armed forces.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ethical and professional communications with trauma-informed language.
• Provide outreach, baseline mental health screenings, and suicide prevention education for Veterans.
• Conduct crisis responses and coordinate with individuals at risk of a crisis episode.
• Develop and implement crisis intervention plans tailored to each Veteran.
• Build rapport with Veterans and families and empower decision-making.
• Utilize trauma-informed care to create a safe environment.
• Assist Veterans to obtain VA or other benefits.
• Maintain documentation and compliance for all individuals served.
• Participate in team meetings and case staffing for coordinated care.
