HMR Veterans Services in Pell City, AL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Staff member to support daily cleaning operations in a facility serving veterans. You will perform routine housekeeping tasks, maintain clean and safe spaces, and follow established procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must follow written and oral instructions, make independent decisions, and accept constructive feedback.
• Must interact tactfully with residents, families, staff, visitors, and regulatory personnel.
• Must maintain cleanliness, equipment, and safety standards in resident rooms and housekeeping areas.

Responsabilités

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Empty and sanitize ash trays daily.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms and areas daily.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures and remove water marks.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrances/exits.
• Clean floors via sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting.
• Clean carpets via vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles.
• Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
• Ensure that work areas are clean and equipment, tools, supplies are stored properly.
• Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with infection control procedures.
• Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
