Job summary

ExamWorks in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension examinations and related assessments for veterans and service members within a clinic setting.

The NP will perform focused histories and physicals, review records, and prepare evaluative reports in accordance with VHA/VBA and client guidelines, while ensuring compliance and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Active RN and NP licenses required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• 1+ year nursing or clinical examination experience preferred.
• Compensation & Pension examination experience preferred.
• Experience with computerized charting and healthcare documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P examinations for veterans and service members.
• Perform PHAs, DOI examinations, and related claimant evaluations.
• Obtain comprehensive claimant histories and perform focused examinations.
• Review medical and service records to support evaluations.
• Complete timely evaluative reports in line with regulations and client requirements.
• Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests such as PFTs, EKGs, and ABI as appropriate.
• Assist with blood draws and diagnostic support as needed.
• Maintain flawless documentation and submission timelines.
