Job summary

ExamWorks is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations, Physical Health Assessments (PHAs), DOI examinations, and related claimant evaluations for veterans and service members. You will review medical and service records, perform focused histories and exams, and prepare detailed evaluative reports in accordance with VHA, VBA, DMA, and client guidelines.

This role does not involve ongoing care; you will collaborate to ensure timely documentation, regulatory

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN and NP license required.
• 1+ year nursing or clinical examination experience preferred.
• Compensation & Pension (C&P) examination experience preferred.
• Experience with computerized charting and healthcare documentation systems preferred.
• Occupational health, military health evaluations, or ambulatory clinic experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, examination, and diagnostic interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• HIPAA and confidentiality compliance.
• Typing proficiency of at least 35 WPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for veterans and service members.
• Conduct Physical Health Assessments (PHAs), reservist annual physicals, DOI examinations, and related claimant evaluations.
• Obtain claimant health histories and perform focused physical examinations and assessments.
• Review medical records, service records, diagnostics, and claimant documentation.
• Prepare evaluative reports in accordance with VHA, VBA, DMA, and client guidelines.
• Perform diagnostics such as PFTs, EKGs, and ABI as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Medical Assistants and providers to ensure smooth clinic operations.
