Job summary

Clay Consulting is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations and related evaluations in a clinic setting. The NP will conduct focused histories, perform physicals, review records, and prepare detailed reports in line with VHA/VBA and client guidelines.

The role supports quality, efficiency, and claimant satisfaction while ensuring regulatory compliance. The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Active and unrestricted RN and NP license required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• One or more years of nursing or clinical examination experience preferred.
• Compensation & Pension (C&P) examination experience preferred.
• Experience with computerized charting and healthcare documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for veterans and service members.
• Conduct Physical Health Assessments (PHAs), reservist annual physicals, DOI examinations, and related claimant evaluations.
• Obtain comprehensive claimant health histories and perform focused physical examinations and assessments.
• Review medical records, service records, and diagnostic data to support evaluations.
• Complete timely, accurate, legible, and compliant documentation and evaluative reports.
• Collaborate with Medical Assistants and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and claimant flow.
