Job summary

Auburn University Montgomery is seeking a hands-on administrator to support Veterans Services within the one-stop concept. You will assist with training, recruitment, visitor reception, and routine inquiries, helping students and families navigate admission, financial aid, and registration.

You will coordinate materials, liaise with Financial Aid and Scholarships, supervise staff, and participate in call campaigns and outreach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of general office experience. Specific program-related experience is desired. Education can be substituted for experience.
• Additional education in a related field may be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Veterans Services one-stop concept and VA work study coordination.
• Recruit prospective students and inform veterans, military personnel and families about benefits and opportunities.
• Act as a point of contact for Veterans Services; greet visitors and answer routine questions.
• Distribute and display military and benefit related materials appropriately.
• Provide initial advising to prospective students and parents about admission, financial aid and registration.
• Coordinate with Financial Aid, Office of Student Accounts, and Scholarships to provide accurate information.
• Coordinate information flow from departments and supervise staff including student workers and part-time employees.
• Participate in call campaigns and outreach initiatives as directed.
