Job summary

Bexar County is seeking a dedicated Military Services Officer to lead the development and coordination of transition plans for service members and their families, guiding them from active duty into civilian life.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with duties spanning plan development, interagency collaboration, and program evaluation. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Services, Counseling, Psychology, or related field; 3–5 years’ experience with active military members and/or families.
• Strong strategic planning, quality/workload/performance measures, and organizational analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse groups; valid driver's license and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive transition plans and coordinate services for service members and families.
• Assess, plan, implement, and monitor service delivery; report on outcomes.
• Represent office at conferences, briefings, and meetings; liaise with partners.
• Audit member files monthly to ensure policy compliance and service effectiveness.
