Job summary

GAP Solutions seeks Transition Assistance Advisors to provide guidance to Reserve Component members, families and Veterans. You will coordinate with VA centers and DoD programs to deliver benefits information, education and health resources. The role involves outreach, briefing on mobilization, and assisting with reintegration activities across local and regional settings.

Applicants should have an associate degree or equivalent experience, U.S. citizenship, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3 years related experience in social services, HR or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship and knowledge of military protocols preferred.
• Experience with VA programs, TRICARE or DoD TAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Transition Assistance Advisor (TAA) services to eligible Guard/Reserve members, families and Veterans.
• Coordinate with VA centers, TRICARE, VSOs and other resources to deliver benefits information.
• Brief mobilization/demobilization participants and assist reintegration efforts.
• Research and resolve transition issues; assist law enforcement and emergency services with awareness.
• Support leadership and partner groups with entitlement information and program administration.
