Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• One year of experience in social services or related field preferred.
• A veteran of the U.S. military or military-related family member is preferred.
• Knowledge of empowerment and self-advocacy techniques.
• Experience working with homeless and/or veterans preferred.
• Experience in a residential environment of persons with histories of homelessness with co- occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional relationships with clients and boundaries with clients and potential clients.
• Coordinates individual and group services to help veterans achieve life and recovery goals.
• Maintains confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Participates in case conferences, consultations, and staffing with appropriate staff.
• Facilitates monthly Town Hall meetings and team trainings.
• Maintains and submits time sheets and required documentation accurately and timely.
• Transports clients to medical, housing, and other appointments and provides peer support as needed.
