Job summary

USVETS Inland Empire is seeking a Veteran Service Coordinator to lead the Veterans Service Department and oversee day-to-day operations for residents from entry through graduation. This exempt role works with the Program Manager to ensure consistent, high-quality services for veterans and their families across residential programs.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating community areas, and maintaining program structure while ensuring safety, compliance, and compassionate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field.
• Minimum of four years of relevant employment experience; may substitute for degree requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in related field; two years at U.S.VETS may substitute for supervisory experience.
• Experience working with homeless and/or veteran population preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of clients, staff, and community members.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and maintain a therapeutic community across program phases.
• Supervise and manage the Veterans Service Department.
• Ensure 24-hour coverage and on-call readiness for site operations.
• Coordinate daily shuttle runs and transportation needs as required.
• Organize community service areas, therapeutic stations, and residential services.
• Oversee administrative tasks: drug testing, logs, and records; ensure safe environment.
