Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) offers a path for veterans to become Kia Certified Service Technicians. The program supports individuals to start an inspiring career within Kia Retailers where opportunities are full-time and service-focused.

Participants gain hands-on training, access to Kia diagnostic tools, and a route to Kia Service Technician certification through a one-year competency-based GI Bill approved apprenticeship. All employment lies with Kia Retailers.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge is a required status for applicants.
• Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Willingness to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests per Kia and Retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose using Kia diagnostic strategies, equipment and tools.
• Perform services and repairs in a timely manner while communicating with shop foreman and service advisor.
