Interim HealthCare Inc. is hiring a Veteran Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in the Tri-County Area (Dorchester, Berkeley, Charleston) for a modified full-time schedule of 30 hours weekly.

The role focuses on assisting Medicare beneficiaries and veterans to live safely at home with dignity, through daily living support and companionship. The position offers a base pay of $16.00 per hour, weekly pay, 1:1 aide-to-client ratios, and benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO and holiday pay,

Competenze

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six months of healthcare experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Mansioni

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
