Job summary

Veterans Health Administration is seeking an experienced Physician for the Community Living Center (CLC) in Tomah, WI. This role focuses on geriatrics and extended care for veterans in a nursing home–level setting, including memory care, rehabilitation, and long-term care.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. The incumbent will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, longitudinal veteran care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
• Residency in an ACGME/AOA-approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to Veterans in the Community Living Center (CLC).
• Coordinate evaluations, diagnostic testing, and care plans for CLC residents.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants and other clinicians.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care coordination.
• Assist with hospital admissions, post-discharge care, and specialty consults.
• Supervise and mentor NPs/PAs as needed; respond to after-hours coverage when required.
