Job summary

Luke Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant (Lab) & Phlebotomist to support branch health clinics in VA. The role requires venipuncture and finger-stick experience, BLS certification, and strong English communication. You will work at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and other VA clinics.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and an accredited MA or phlebotomy program, plus US citizenship and ability to read/write English. Equal Opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
• Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES/US Armed Forces/MTF-approved.
• Completion of NAACLS Accredited or two-part Phlebotomy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic waived testing as defined by CLIA.
• Prepare specimens for transport per MTF policy.
• Conduct lab testing according to procedures; maintain accuracy.
• Participate in peer review and performance improvement.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and safety procedures.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and notify supervisor when needed.
