Job summary

Bestica is looking for a full-time Phlebotomy Technician to provide services at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and various Branch Health Clinics. The candidate will join a mission-focused team dedicated to supporting active-duty military members and their families.

This role involves performing venipuncture and specimen collection across multiple clinics, ensuring quality care for diverse patient populations. Applicants must have a high school diploma, complete a phlebotomy training program, and possess current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Minimum of one year of experience performing venipunctures on diverse patient populations.
• Basic competency in computer/data entry.

Responsibilities

Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–7:00 PM

Some clinics operate weekends and holidays; scheduling varies by location.

• Clinics include Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Yorktown.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a NAACLS-accredited or equivalent two-part phlebotomy training program (≥40 hours classroom, ≥100 hours clinical, ≥100 successful venipuncture procedures).
• Minimum of one year experience (within the last three years) performing venipunctures on diverse patient populations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA; no web-based courses).
• Basic competency in computer/data entry.
