Job summary

Isuzu Veterans Apprenticeship Program (IVAP) offers military veterans with mechanical experience a path to become an Isuzu Service Technician through a U.S. Department of Labor and GI Bill‑approved apprenticeship.

The program partners with participating Isuzu dealerships to provide hands-on training, mentorship, and certification opportunities, with benefits support where eligible. Qualified applicants may gain shop floor experience, complete required apprenticeship steps, and pursue full‑time

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with diesel, automotive, heavy equipment, aircraft, generator, fleet maintenance, or related mechanical systems.
• Willingness to learn and complete on-the-job apprenticeship requirements.
• Strong references and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of Isuzu commercial vehicles as part of the IVAP apprenticeship.
• Work alongside dealership service teams and participate in on-the-job learning to meet certification requirements.
