U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) to join Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI).

You will coordinate and provide specialty mental health counseling within a multi-disciplinary VA team serving Veterans. The role requires licensure, mastery of assessment and treatment planning, and collaboration across disciplines to ensure comprehensive, accessible care and continuity of services for Veterans across the VA Texas Valley

Qualifikationen

• Master's or doctoral degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling or CACREP-accredited program
• Knowledge of DSM, clinical interventions, and evidence-based practices
• Ability to engage in intake, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Ability to work on an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively
• Experience with crisis intervention and psychotherapeutic modalities
• Proficiency in documenting care and using Telehealth tools

Aufgaben

• Conduct assessment interviews, develop treatment plans, and provide treatment to eligible Veterans.
• Refer clients to other programs and professionals as appropriate and provide consultation to team members.
• Deliver a full range of psycho-diagnostic services, including individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
• May have program management responsibilities within VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Healthcare System.
• Coordinate programming with managers of other mental health programs and supervise staff as assigned.
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; Telework Ad-Hoc available; not virtual.
