The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Augusta, GA seeks a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) within the Primary Care–Mental Health Integration program. Provide brief evidence‑based assessments, interventions, and consultation to Veterans seen in primary care.

You will collaborate with primary care teams, deliver measurement‑based care, perform suicide risk assessments, coordinate referrals, and participate in PCMHI operations and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, current, unrestricted LPMHC license.
• Five years post-licensure experience with advanced practice skills.
• Experience in interdisciplinary teams preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver brief, evidence-based assessments and interventions in PCMHI.
• Provide real-time behavioral health consultation in primary care.
• Support same-day access, warm handoffs, and care coordination with teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety planning as needed.
• Participate in PCMHI operations, training, and quality initiatives.
