VA Butler Healthcare is seeking dedicated Nursing Assistants to provide direct care and support to Veterans in the Community Living Center. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, independence, comfort, and well-being for our Veterans.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and documenting care. The role emphasizes resident-centered care and requires strong English communication and adherence to VA policies.

Qualifikationen

• Experience must demonstrate ability to perform Nursing Assistant duties.
• English language proficiency required as per VA standards.
• GS-3/4/5 progression requires demonstrated KSAs and supervision.
• Broad pathways from basic to full performance levels are outlined in VA qualifications.

Aufgaben

• Provide resident-centered direct care and support to Veterans.
• Assist with bathing, feeding, vital signs, and ambulation.
• Contribute to care plans and document nursing care as directed.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to RN.
• Work 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
• Operate with BCMA and maintain patient safety and comfort.

Kenntnisse

Six months of general experience

One year of education above high school with nursing courses

Intensive nursing assistant training <1 year

Four-year degree with health care courses
