Job summary

The PACT Licensed Practical Nurse will function under the direction of a primary care nurse in support of the physician or mid-level providers at the Greenville CBOC. The LPN will perform duties that promote quality health care, positive customer service, and a Veteran-centered environment.

Responsibilities include delivering direct nursing care, assisting with phlebotomy/EKG, medication administration, and patient education, with adherence to VA policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship requirement; VA policy governs eligibility.
• English language proficiency required for direct patient care per 38 U.S.C. rules.
• Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing duties under RN/MD supervision with emphasis on patient teaching and care coordination.
• Provide direct nursing care, including EKGs and phlebotomy support as assigned.
• Administer medications and document patient responses, following facility policies.
