Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) is seeking a Veteran Business Consultant within the Employment Services division to connect jobseekers with opportunities and help employers find staff. This role emphasizes veteran-focused services, industry outreach, and collaboration with SC Works Centers across the state.

The position requires travel to Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties and offers benefits including health insurance, retirement options, and flexible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience in recruitment/selection; OR a high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in recruitment/selection, interviewing, or workforce development.

Responsibilities

• Market services to employers and partners, focusing on federal contractors.
• Be an active participant of the Business Services Team.
• Maintain outreach and retention records for employers.
• Assist with ES programs like Wagner-Peyser, TAA, MSFW, and Veteran Services Program.
• Review job orders and proofread for EO compliance.
• Register new employers and communicate validation processes.
• Ensure timely, professional customer service to all employers.
• Provide technical assistance and walkthroughs of the SC Works system.
• Communicate labor market information and incentive programs.
• Support SC Works Centers and Workforce programs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in recruitment/selection or related field

Minimum 3 years experience in recruitment/selection or workforce development

High school diploma with 4+ years experience in recruitment/selection
