Job summary

Benson Kia in Spartanburg, SC is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for the Automotive Service Technician role through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). This program helps Veterans transition into the automotive industry with a one-year competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Full-time employment, training, tools, and GI Bill® eligibility with a Monthly Housing Allowance during the apprenticeship are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Willingness to complete a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors to ensure a positive customer experience.

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service

Valid driver’s license

ASE certifications or technical training
