Job summary

A reputable automobile dealership in Antioch, Illinois, is seeking Military Veterans for a full-time apprenticeship as Automotive Service Technicians. This position is part of a structured program that offers hands-on experience while leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Veterans will gain the necessary skills to maintain and repair Kia vehicles and will receive support through the GI Bill® for a Monthly Housing Allowance during the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines, transmissions, and more.
• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast‑paced dealership service environment

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service

Tools

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and hand tools
